Hits and Misses

Here are some (random) things that have been hits and misses over the last few weeks!

Miss: North Face parka I had a lot of Macy's gift cards that I'd accumulated and decided to spring on this cozy looking parka. Unfortunately, it was way thinner than I thought it would be (read: not warm) and as soon as I pulled it out, feathers started coming out of it! Back it went....

Hit: Tahari coat After the North Face parka didn't work out, I hit up Nordstrom's selection for some sales and found this navy Tahari coat. It's way warmer than the NF one and it's super fun, especially in the collar area. I think navy is great because it goes with most colors, too.

Miss: Zella cowl-neck sweatshirt. I reeeeeally wanted to love this sweatshirt. It was so cozy and I didn't want to take it off, except for the fact that the arm area was so bulky and stuck out in a weird way! The seam that hits part way down the arm made it fall oddly and it just didn't work. Boo.

HitBobeau one-button cardi. This turned out to be a nice alternative to the Zella sweatshirt that didn't work. I wouldn't wear this to the gym per se, but it's a nice lounging option that comes in all sorts of colors and falls at a great price on sale.

And now just hits....

LaCroix passionfruit  I've hated seltzer water for as long as I can remember....and then I got pregnant. This passionfruit flavor is amazing! I'm pretty sure only Target is carrying it, though.

Starbucks Flat White- Don't even ask me what 'ristretto' espresso is, but this new drink is SO good. Maybe it's the whole milk? I ask for it with one shot instead of two and it's still amazing.

Hunter welly socks- I have a pair of the short Hunter rain boots that I'm in love with (the tall ones never work on me, but the short ones are awesome!) and I got the fleece inserts for Christmas from the Pikes - boy do they make a difference! Soooo warm and cozy.

Serial - I realize I'm pretty late to the party on this one, but I finally started listening to Serial, and it's so good! I didn't think I'd be into podcasts (I'm more of a visual person), but nonetheless, I'm hooked. I feel like I'm hanging on to every word when I'm listening to it! It's great to listen to at the gym.

Speaking of cereal (can you tell where my mind is!?), cinnamon flavored Life has made its way back into our pantry and I cannot stop craving/eating it.

Lastly, this post by Jordan over at RamshackleGlam is worth the read (like, really worth it). I've always valued Jordan's honesty in her blogging through the good, the bad, and the ugly and I really admire her ability to speak openly about her marriage - something that seems so taboo in so many ways, but like any relationship in life, certainly has its ups and downs!
