The In-Between

I got home from Boulder last Friday (last last Friday? Losing track of days/weeks...), just in time to celebrate our good friends Madelyn and Eric who were tying the knot! Their wedding was at Bull Run Winery and they couldn't have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate with their family and friends. Not surprisingly, Madelyn was a knockout bride and Eric wasn't too shabby either. Thanks for letting us share in your fun day, Reid-Bomkamps!

The next day happened to be our own anniversary! We spent the morning looking through our wedding photos, which always bring a silly grin to my face. Naturally, Mother Nature was gracing us with a true recreation of the day since it was gross outside (although no downpour this year- woo!), but the evening cleared up and we had dinner at Birch and Barley before we rode to the top of the Washington Monument for perfectly clear views of the District to cap off the evening. We also forced ourselves to continue eating our wedding cake when we got home....there was no way that thing was going to waste after taking up so much room in our freezer for a year!!

May you enter into the mystery which is the awareness of one another's presence - no more
physical than spiritual, warm and near when you are side by side, and warm and near when
you are in separate rooms or even distant cities. May you have happiness, and may you find it
making one another happy. May you have love, and may you find it loving one another.

Here's to many, many more years of falling in love with one another, CP!
Also, I not so secretly wish that we could re-create the epic dance party from our wedding every year!

Next up in the Mariahood of the Traveling Pants.....Cape Cod!
