19 things

Since CP and I have been engaged for 19 months and are tying the eternal knot this weekend, it seems appropriate to list 19 things that have been spinning through my head over the course of this week.

1. We are so, so fortunate to have incredibly loving and supportive families.

2. I would appreciate it if my nightmares of missing a whole semester of class and showing up for the final, or ending up arrested for some bizarre reason would cease to exist.

3. I can't WAIT for Mere and Izzy to get here tomorrow.....it's crazy to think how far we've come since our days in "The Powerhouse".

4. Our cake topper is one of my favorite touches of our wedding decor.

5. Kirby Hansen is incredible and has made my vision of our wedding come true (more on that later...!)

6. My dad took ONE dance lesson and is already rocking the moves. This, after he's broken not only his hip, but also shattered his leg in twenty-two places.

7. I can't wait to break it down with CP on the dance floor.

8. We're never going to have both of our extended families together like this again. Isn't that weird?

9. I have a girl crush on our photographer, Julie Lim. She's out of this world, and by far one of the kindest souls on this big planet of ours.

10. Inevitably, some parents at school are going to wonder who the "new teacher" is in 6th grade since they won't know me as Mrs. Pike.

11. I'm really excited to see the groomsmen attire come together...I think it's going to be hot.

12. Etsy is a godsend.

13. My dad's former co-worker and friend, Laurie, is marrying us. I get goosebumps when I read over her script.

14. My mom's dress is so beautiful and I can't wait to see her and my dad all gussied up.

15. CP and I are going to see each other before the ceremony - we're not superstitious and, frankly, I want to spend as much time as possible with him on our wedding day!

16. I finally found a wedding band....yesterday.

17. When people find out I'm getting married this weekend, they're shocked that I'm not in a tizzy. I'll take that as a compliment:)

18. If July 27th could just last forever and ever, I'd be cool with that.

19. Even though I wish #18 could happen, I know that this day is just the beginning of so many wonderful days and years to come with the one who knows me best.
