Protein Power

I've known for a long time that I don't eat enough protein and it's something that I've really really really been trying to step up. I down Greek yogurt like it's my job, I add Vega protein powder to my smoothies most days that I make them, and I love a good handful of mixed nuts.  I try not to eat too much meat, but when I do, I tell myself that it's a good way to push the protein, too.


While browsing Whole Paycheck today (in my defense, it's across the street from the gym and they validate parking for up to two hours, so I'd much rather spend $3 on something yummy than giving it to "the man"), I discovered Svelte. I've tried protein drinks before, such as Muscle Milk, and have never been impressed. However today, ladies and gents, I've found a protein drink that I can down in no time. It's seriously better than a milkshake and there is a tonnn of protein in it. I've heard rumors that soy protein isn't good for females, but that's just too bad.

I totally see myself stocking up on these when school starts to serve as a quick and easy breakfast. Until then, they'll be my go-to purchase for parking validation!
