So many gods, so many creeds, so many paths that wind and wind, while just the art of being kind is all the sad world needs.

The Cape
There's something about this place in the summer that's really special. CP and I came up here for spring break on our own last year and it was fun....but not this fun. Maybe it's the outdoor shower, maybe it's having twenty people in the house together, maybe it's passing multiple adorable bunnies on my morning runs. Whatever it is, it's amazing and just what I needed right now. I'm so grateful to be here with the Pikes and it's so neat to hear about and participate in all of the family traditions that they've had running for decades now.
Typically we spend most mornings at the beach, head back for lunch, and then have an afternoon activity going on before we get ready for dinner and Sundae School (the ice cream there is unreal). The town were in is having their fireworks on Monday and then a parade on Wednesday. Sort of strange that they're doing fireworks tomorrow instead of on the 4th, but there will be plenty of fireworks shows at other beaches that are close by.
I'm hoping that power is restored soon if it hasn't been already for those of you in VA! Naturally, I slept through the entire thing even though everyone else was up and talking. My mom had a car fall OVER her car and luckily there was minimal damage since it didn't fall right on it. Mom's got good karma:)
PS. I've been experiencing awful night terrors recently....as in, waking up shrieking about something or other and not even remembering it the next morning. CP has gotten used to it these days and has started video taping me. True love, no? Anyways, one of my recurring terrors revolves around spiders. This week, we are literally sleeping with spiders in the room which actually hasn't bothered me all that much....yet. I'm just waiting for the night when I have a big freak out over it in my sleep. Luckily, though, I know these types of night terrors aren't terribly uncommon. I once had this roommate in college (who also happens to be my best friend), and we spent some nights with black snakes:)
