Road Trip Snacks

We're off to Cape Cod tomorrow and we're leaving in the middle of the night. It's a long drive and goodness knows I'll need some good snacks to fuel that drive. Behold....

Unsalted mixed nuts, Michele's pumpkin granola, sweet potato and cinnamon crackers, pineapple coconut water, Gatorade, final bites of Milka chocolate bars from Germany, bananas, fruit chia bars (a good find recently at Whole Paycheck), mini Kind bars, Vega protein bars, Vega Saviseeds, new Probar "Halo" bar, Sprees, and Shockers.

I've been hooked on the Vega protein bars for awhile now. The chocolate saviseed is my favorite. Vega just recently came out with a whole new line of yummy stuff, one of which is the actual saviseeds! The ones above are chocolate covered....yummm. The ProBar Halo bars were on sample at Whole Foods (errr, Whole Paycheck) the other day and they were surprisingly delicious for under 150 calories! I tried the smores one and it was pretty spot on, so I'm excited to tried rocky road on the road. I'm on a pun intended roll these days, no?

PS. If you're like me and wondering what in the world a saviseed is, here you goooo!
When we say SaviSeed, we mean premium, organic sacha inchi seeds – the super food of the ancient Inca peoples. Not just your average seed, sacha inchi seeds are native to the Amazon rainforest and have been cultivated and consumed for centuries in Peru under the name ‘Inca Peanut’. SaviSeeds are the fruit of sacha inchi plants, herbaceous vines that produce star-shaped green pods which yield edible seeds – SaviSeeds.  source

PPS. Not sure how frequent blogging will be happening up in CC, but I'll have some fun stuff to share when we're back.
