Photo Stories: Rehoboth

My memory bank is FULL of Rehoboth memories and there are some pretty hilarious ones. It's so funny to reflect on how the littlest things earned the biggest reaction when I was little- getting pooped on by a seagull (THE END OF THE WORLD!!!), my dad killing it at ringtoss and my mom being a beast at the horse race game (SO MANY PRIZES FOR MEEEE!), digging for sand crabs (I COULD DO THIS FOR HOURSSSS!), and so on and so forth. When I was little, we would go to the beach for a full two weeks, which was more than ideal and provided endless entertainment. From trying to spot our Ursula friend on the beach (an old lady who legitimately looked like Ursula and was in the same spot tanning every.single.year) to the year we found that tiny tiny kittens had climbed up our car's tailpipe and were living in the engine (!), there was never a dull moment at Rehoboth.

The beach was also where my dad insisted that I overcome my many fears.....and probably wished that he had a son at that point, ha! Eventually I did jump on the boogie boarding wagon, which unfortunately led to entirely too many wipeouts and subsequently, way too many tears. There was also the time that I begged begged begged my dad to bury me in the sand and jusssssssst as the sand reached my neck and I was 100% buried, I had a full on meltdown. Good times.

Rehoboth will undoubtedly always have a special place in my heart and fortunately for us we get to take our little peanut there this summer! I absolutely cannot wait.....even though she might have a few years before she's ready for the horse races and boogie boarding :)

FUNLAND!

One of those "overcoming my fears" moments....

Thanks for capturing this exact moment of my fit, mom!

Tell me your secrets, DM!

  1. Not sure why it didn't dawn on me until now that Rehoboth is your Pipestem. I can't wait to see the photos next summer and we would love to join the Pikes/Micoccis up there one of these years!
