Popping In

First of all, how is it already December?! I can hardly believe that in less than two weeks, I'll be on a plane to visit the Ohms in Germany! First though, I have a mondo final due the week before for a class that I'm taking towards an endorsement. I can't wait to do the happy dance once I'm done with that and can really focus on getting packed and mentally prepped for a week of non-stop fun. Don't worry, I'm really really going to try my best to pack as little as possible so that I have enough room for all of the Haribo and Milka treats that I plan on bringing home.

I know that I mentioned them in my last post, but I think I'm actually addicted to these pancakes. I wake up thinking about them and will certainly be whipping them up on a weekly basis.

Gina is currently hosting a slew of giveaways, one of which includes leggings from White Plum. This is a new to me company, but as soon as I spotted the fun and festive leggings, you know I bought some. These are one of the pairs that I purchased - hopefully they'll be as awesome as they look! I'll report back when they arrive.... (ps. you can use the code 'fitnessista20' for 20% off your purchase this week).

I promise that I haven't forgotten about house updates. Truth be told, we've been slacking a bit in home improvement projects, but we have gotten some new art on the walls that I'm excited to share. Also, later this month my very talented uncle, who is a contractor/builder, is coming down to look at our kitchen with us and brainstorm some major changes. Very much looking forward to that!

Did you know that CP, who is extremely humble, is actually a very talented artist? I knew this, but I'd forgotten just how good he is until he pulled out watercolors the other night and within a few hours, we had a beautiful painting on the kitchen table. Seeing as how I can't even draw a reasonable stick figure, I'm in total awe.

If you're in the area, there are more than a few holiday events taking place in the coming weeks! I'm going with CP and my dad next Thursday to see a live music show that's coordinated with some classic Christmas movies at the Angelika Theatre (information here). CP and I will also be heading down to Zoo Lights at some point soon (which is where he proposed two years ago!), and then Mount Vernon always has wonderful holiday tours and activities as well.

Any other fun holiday events coming up that you know of?  I'm hosting and attending some cookie exchanges which are always amazing, and Miss K and I are running the Jingle 8k in DC this weekend - don't worry, our costumes are ready!
