Which Wich

Last night, CP and I ventured to Ballston in the torrential downpour to try Which Wich, a west coast based sandwich shop. I think Janae had mentioned them before, so when they opened up here, I knew it was worth trying. The ordering concept was pretty neat- they had ten different baskets with sandwich bags in them, designated by your base meat (or veggie). I picked up the turkey bag, and then went to town marking off toppings on the bag.  You could also have your sandwich toasted, which I opted for.  My turkey sammie was delicious, and CP's gyro was really tasty, too.  Other options on the menu that sounded worth trying included an Elvis sandwich, the Cuban sandwich, and the meatball sub. CP and I both agreed that Potbelly may still take the cake, but Which Wich definitely had way more options, so I would head back there if I wasn't in the mood for a classic turkey. It beats Subway by a mile, though. I'm hoping that they open more locations in the area soon!

On a funny note, we ordered a chocolate milkshake after dinner, along with the guy who was sitting next to us. When the young man brought us the shakes, it felt awfully light and when I popped the top off, I stared quizzically at the "milkshake", which was the consistency of plain milk. Then, I looked over at the guy next to us and he was having the same reaction. Turns out the kid who made them heard "chocolate milk" instead of "milkSHAKE". They were very apologetic, made us actual milkshakes, and gave us a card for a free sammie the next time we were in. A+ for customer service.

  1. There's a Which Wich opening in Leesburg right by my chiropractor and I'm dying to try it. 99% of the reason is because Janae is my idol haha
