Falling Into Fall

It certainly seems as though fall is greeting us with arms wide open these days. When I leave for the gym in the mornings, it's pitch black and when I roll in around 7pm from tutoring/babysitting/working out, it's dark yet again.  This time of year always seems to creep up on us quickly and looking at my calendar, it's going to be a jam packed few weeks. Luckily, CP and I wrapped up our last major project on the house last weekend (can I get a WOOO!), and now we have lots of fun things to keep us busy. Pulling out hundreds of staples from beautiful hardwood floors that someone decided to cover with fugly carpet (ie. how we've spent our last couple of weekends) is NOT my idea of fun, in case you were wondering.

This weekend, we're spending Saturday night at the Mandarin Oriental volunteering at the Joan Hisaoka Make a Difference gala, which mainly supports cancer research.  It should be a great time supporting a cause that's near and dear to my family.  The following weekend we're off to the Shenandoah Mountains for a cozy adventure at Skyland Resort.  Then, for Columbus Day weekend we're driving to Cincinnati to see Meredith, Thomas, and Buster! I can't wait to spend some quality time with them and see their new city and home.  I'm stoked for all of these upcoming events and I know that we'll be wondering where the past month has gone before long.

I hope that everyone has some fun things lined up for the next few weekends.  We'll be pulling out jackets and putting away warm weather clothes before we know it!

  1. So before I even got to our shout out I was thinking, "And they get to come see us soon!" Hahaha. So selfish of me, I know.

    CAN. NOT. WAIT.

ps - I've been freeezing my booty off here. Maybe for Columbus Day we should all go to Hawaii instead?
